The AgriBusiness Group carried out a farm assessment on a range of farms which constitute the Te Hiku Maori Farming Co-operative based in Kaitaia in Northland. As part of that assessment, we used the Kohuratia assessment tool which was developed by Ngai Tahu to assess a range of aspects of Maori farming enterprises.

The AgriBusiness Group supported the applicant, Midland Seeds, in the application to gain a license to grow poppies in New Zealand. Although this application was ultimately unsuccessful it was a very innovative approach to adding another very lucrative crop choice to the arable industry in New Zealand.
